Pest Control Officer

Rats & Gophers

The Pest Control Officer makes visits to locations throughout the R.M. of Tecumseh No. 65. The Pest Control officer will provide rat poison at no charge if required. There is also a rat poison available at the R.M. Office for ratepayers requiring additional supplies

The R.M. of Tecumseh No. 65 recognizes the importance of assisting with the control of gophers. The R.M. keeps gopher poison available for R.M. Ratepayers at the R.M. Office.

The R.M. Office also has a limited number of Skunk and Cage traps available for our ratepayers. If you would like to borrow a trap, please contact the the RM Office for availability at 306-457-2277 or visit the office.

Weed Control Officer

Noxious Weeds

Leafy Spurge and other noxious weeds are in the R.M. Our Weed Inspector sprays for weeds on road allowances. If you are aware of the location of left spurge, absinthe wormwood, scentless chamomile, or other noxious weeds, please call the R.M. Office.

Each year, the R.M. appoints a weed inspector in accordance with the Provincial Noxious Weeds Act.

Tree Planter

The R.M. of Tecumseh No.65 has a tree planter in which ratepayers may borrow. Please contact the R.M. office to book a date and make arrangements for pick up. An indemnity agreement must also be signed prior to using the tree planter.

Dust Control

The R.M. of Tecumseh No. 65 offers dust control in the form of DL10 $500.00 per year for residents.

Suppressant will be applied a minimum of 1 time in the year which it is requested, and any subsequent applications within this same year will be at the discretion of the RM of Tecumseh and is subject to availability of time, product & necessity. All requests must be received annually by completing the Dust Control Application and accompany payment in full prior to work being completed. The RM ofTecumseh will not be contacting ratepayers individually. It is the responsibility of the ratepayer to make an annual request for the application of suppressant. Please remit signed application and payment either in person or by mail to:
