R.M. of Tecumseh No. 65
In December 1909, the rural municipality was organized. Edwin Slater, the first Reeve, was given the honor of naming the new Rural Municipality No. 65. He called it Tecumseh after his home town of Tecumseh in Essex County, Ontario.
